Welcome to New to F&A Day! After a walking tour of downtown Athens with community leaders, new employees (with less than two years of experience in Finance and Administration) are greeted by team members for breakfast at Trumps. Senior Vice President Tim Burgess speaks to the group about challenges and opportunities facing the division at the Chapel There is no formal program at lunch – just a delicious buffet lunch and door prizes for various community and UGA activities. first a behind-the-scenes tour of the new addition to the Butts-Mehre athletic headquarters… and then a walk-through of the expansion and renovation of Stegeman Coliseum, home of UGA Basketball and Gymnastics. The last stop on the tour is the newly expanded and renovated Georgia Museum of Art. From there, the day concludes at the Campus Services Fair, showcasing many of the units in Auxiliary and Administrative Services. New to F&A Day is planned and presented by the F&A Diversity Committee. It is designed as an orientation program to introduce employees to the breadth and depth of the division and to help them network with colleagues outside their divisions.
