Vice President for Finance and Administration

Ryan Nesbit currently serves as UGA’s Vice President for Finance and Administration. In this capacity, he also serves as treasurer for the UGA Athletic Association, treasurer for the UGA Research Foundation, and chair of the UGA Real Estate Foundation. Prior to assuming the role of vice president in July 2013, Nesbit served as the University’s budget director since 2000 and served as the senior associate vice president since 2005. He began working at UGA in 1994 in the facilities planning office and took leave from UGA in 1995 and 1996 to serve as the Sanford Stadium venue operations manager for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games.

Nesbit holds a master’s degree in business administration from UGA and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Citadel. He is a member of the Athens First United Methodist Church, volunteers with Kairos Prison Ministries, serves on the Boards of UGA’s Wesley Foundation and the Mercy Health Center, and has coached youth basketball and little league baseball. He and his wife Dale have two sons, Trent and Luke.
