During breakfast at New to F&A Day 2012, participants enjoyed a delicious meal while answering trivia questions about Athens, GA and hearing from local community members. Student guides from the Visitor's Center led the participants on tours of historic North Campus. At lunch, Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration Tim Burgess drew participants' numbers from a bowl to see which lucky new F&A employees won door prizes. After lunch, the group got an exclusive tour of the new Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries and its several exhibits. The final program of New to F&A Day was a tour of the new Health Sciences Campus, which opened for classes Fall 2012 at the site of the former Navy Supply Corps School. The day ended at the Finance and Administration Ice Cream Social, one of F&A's Recognition Week events. The heads of F&A units served ice cream and punch while Hairy Dawg greeted and posed for pictures with New to F&A Day participants and other Finance and Administration employees.
