STEPS TOWARDS INCLUSION

The Finance & Administration Culture and Belonging Committee Presents:

“Steps Towards Inclusion, a journey of selective sites denoting African American contributions at the University of Georgia"

Explore African American contributions at the University of Georgia through the self-guided Steps Towards Inclusion site tour, featuring 10 locations across the UGA Athens campus. The Steps Towards Inclusion tour can be completed in person or online through our immersive virtual experience. The in-person tour is available February 1-February 28, 2025, and can be walked, driven, or biked at your leisure. The online tour is available year-round. Each of the tour locations (both in-person and virtual) includes information about the site’s significance. The first 100 participants to complete the tour and submit a perfect-score quiz response by February 28, 2025, will receive an exclusive gift, courtesy of the F&A Culture and Belonging Committee.

This event aims to educate participants about the rich history and contributions of African Americans at the University of Georgia and to foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment. The F&A Culture and Belonging Committee is comprised of representatives from F&A's 12 central divisions and offices who work to identify and address opportunities for growth. In addition to promoting education regarding inclusion, the committee hosts public events promoting community engagement and awareness across the University.
